Hello classmates.
I can't believe 5 years have already passed. Sorry I can't make it this year but wanted to wish everyone to have a GRAND OL' TIME!
I retired in 2002 from the Ft. Riley Fire Department and moved to the beautiful Lake of the Ozarks. I always wanted to retire where I could walk down to my dock and fish anytime I wished. Through the grace of God, my wishes have come true. I fish practically every morning and evening. We LOVE to eat crappie and I keep the refrigerator stocked.
During tax season I do volunteer tax work for AARP. I am also a volunteer teacher at the Osage Beach library where I teach two computer classes two times per month.
We continue to dabble in real estate and have sold our holdings in Manhattan and reinvested in two vacation rentals here at the lake. One is an upscale Condo and the other is a 3 bedroom lakefront house we call our guest house. It's just 2 doors away from our home.
We've found that the best part of retirement is doing what you want and NOT doing what you don't want.
My son Kendal now works from home for the Seimen's Company getting computer programs to talk to each other through different networks. His wife is an attorney. They and their two children, Conner and Marlene, live in Danville, Virginia.
My daughter Joy is in hospital management at the Lee's Summit hospital. Her husband also works for the hospital as a computer systems analyst. They and their two children, Sam and Simon, live in Lee's Summit.
Boomer's my dog and is my fishing buddy. :)
Have fun at the reunion and stay safe.
